It is the reason why most of the world's people live under a form of democracy, a democracy in the United States of America is not called democracy, however, a democracy in the USA can be called a republic.Now, for the other part of the basic meaning of democracy, which is whether or not the people are allowed to participate in the government or not. There is no restriction on their participation which is the main idea behind democracy. Of course, the question here is how are the people allowed to participate if the government is all-powerful?But of course, you cannot have a government that is all-powerful and your participation would be limited to nothing. Democracy is the term for the idea of a government in which the people govern themselves. If you look at the actual workings of government all over the world, the people do not have a say in the running of the government, and some countries still govern by majority vote.Therefore, the general idea of democracy is when the people elect their own leaders to rule them, that is democracy. The primary difference between a democracy and a monarchy is that a monarch has absolute power without any accountability.These two important concepts should form the basis of the essays for students in college. What is the basic meaning of democracy is that it is a form of government where the people have complete control over their country and the country's rules and laws are formulated to suit their own personal, social, economic, cultural and political needs.
